Anthony Kemmerlin – Heroism Award

Mr. Kemmerlin received this first time award for demonstrating performance or actions of an extraordinary or heroic nature on the job.

His actions on an airplane traveling from Mississippi to Delaware on official business resulted in the interception of an emergency situation. Mr. Kemmerlin's observance and communication with a distraught passenger who stated he was contemplating causing a disturbance on the plane and committing suicide was thwarted by his immediate action to console and counsel him. By the time the end of the flight, the person was composed and encouraged.

It is evident that Mr. Kemmerlin's background and skills made a difference in the outcome of this situation. We applaud his extraordinary, heroic effort in helping an individual through their crisis and ultimately averting a potentially catastrophic situation for the person and fellow passengers.
