  • Can I obtain a temporary permit?
  • Answer: No.How long does it take to get a license?

    Answer: This depends on how long it takes for the Board office to receive all of the required documentation. When the application is complete and if it requires Board review, it is placed on the agenda for the next Board meeting. If the Board approves your application, the Board office will issue the license number.

     

    When is a firm required to register for a Certificate of Authorization?

    Do I need to complete continuing education in order to renew my license?

    How can I obtain my National Council of Architectural Registration Board file?

    Answer: You can obtain your NCARB record by contacting NCARB. For information, visit the NCARB website.

     

    How do I obtain a seal or rubber stamp?

    Answer: The Board requires you to obtain either a seal press or rubber stamp for use on drawings and specifications. Most office supply stores can imprint a seal for you, or you may call Franklin Rubber Stamp Company at (302) 654-8841.

     

    How do I request a wall certificate?

    Answer: To receive a wall certificate in addition to the standard license certificate, submit a Request for Wall Certificate with the required fee. When the Board office receives your request and payment, the Board will sign the certificate at its next scheduled meeting.

     

    I have a Delaware architect license but I do not practice in Delaware at this time. Am I required to apply for a Certificate of Authorization?

    Answer: If you, your business or the firm that employs you does not practice architecture in Delaware and is not offering to provide architect services, you are not required to apply for a Certificate of Authorization. However, if your status changes and you or the firm are planning to practice in Delaware or offer architecture services, you need to apply for the Certificate of Authorization.
