When to Apply by Reciprocity
Apply by reciprocity only if you are currently licensed in another state or jurisdiction. If you are not currently licensed in another state or jurisdiction, see New License.
How to Apply
Submit:
- completed, signed and notarized application
- processing fee by check or money order made payable to "State of Delaware."
- original report from the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB). To obtain the application for the report, click www.npdb-hipdb.com or call (800) 767-6732. When you receive the report from NPDB, send the original report to the Board office. )
- copy of your chiropractic diploma
- official transcript sent directly from an accredited Chiropractic College showing a degree of Doctor of Chiropractic
- letter(s) of good standing from eachstate, District of Columbia or U.S. territory where you now hold, or have ever held, a license to practice chiropractic or any other healthcare profession regardless of the status of the license at this time
- official score transcript from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) showing proof of passing Parts I, II, III, IV, and Physiotherapy (PT) of the National Examination. See next section for score requirement.
Examination Score Requirement
The score requirement depends on whether you are currently licensed in a state where the licensure requirements are substantially similar to those in Delaware. See States with Substantially Similar Chiropractic Licensure Requirements.
- If you are licensed in a state with substantially similar licensure requirements, your NCBE score transcript must show that you passed the parts of the National Examination that you took.
- If you are licensed in a state that does not have substantially similar licensure requirements to those in Delaware, the score requirement depends on when you graduated. This table summarizes the requirement.

If you do not meet the requirement in the table above, the Board may accept proof that you passed the examinations that were available when you graduated and when you were originally licensed.
