Licensure Requirements:
- Completed application for each person involved in the business. Signatures must be notarized. You may download an application on this website or request it from a staff contact. Download application here.
- Copy of Federal Firearms license. http://www.atf.treas.gov/firearms/nlc/ffl/ffl_types.htm
- Copy of Division of Revenue (business) license. http://www.state.de.us/revenue/services/Business_Tax/Step2.shtml
- Certified Criminal Arrest History from the State Bureau of Identification for all individuals employed by the business, including owners. Click http://www.state.de.us/dsp or call (302) 739-5880 for more information.
- A current list of employees, including names, former names used, dates of birth, physical descriptions and social security numbers. The required employee list and all attachments shall be confidential, but open for inspection by any police officer of the State of Delaware or any political subdivision of the State, within their respective jurisdiction, at any time, at the licensee's primary place of business and during the licensee's regular business hours. Annual criminal history checks pursuant to 24 Del. C., Chapter 9, § 904 (b) must be completed and included in each employee's file annually.
- Photograph of each person involved in the business.
- A check or money order made payable to the "State of Delaware" for the correct, non-refundable fee.
- License period runs from 02/01 to 01/31 of each year.
- All licensees must keep a separate log for inspection on all deadly weapons (handguns).
