Applying for a Bingo Event License
To apply for a Bingo Event license, applicants must provide the following:
- Completed and notarized Application for a Bingo License. A list of prizes and prize values must be included with the application. Applications must be submitted to the Board at least six (6) weeks prior to the date of the event.
NOTE: Answer all questions completely and legibly. To assure consideration of your license application at the next meeting, the Board office must receive all of these items no later than 4:30 PM ten full working days before the meeting date. A complete application is one that includes all required documentation and correct payment.
- Appropriate processing fee. You may combine the fee for multiple events in one payment. Make the check or money order payable to the "State of Delaware".
- Copy of a letter of tax exemption from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) indicating that your organization is a charitable organization as defined by the IRS.
- If the event is to be held on premises not owned or not regularly leased by the applicant, a separate written request explaining the reason(s) for not holding the event on the applicant’s premises. The request must include the name of the facility where the event will be held.
Filing After Occasion Reports
The member-in-charge of the event must file an After Occasion Report with the Board within fifteen (15) days of the event. If the member-in-charge fails to file a report within 15 days of the event, or if a report is not properly completed, no further license(s) will be issued and any existing license shall be suspended until the default has been corrected. |
