Question:

How long does it take to complete the application process?

Answer: The application process varies based on how quickly the required forms are submitted to the Board office. It is suggested that the applicant contact the Board office on a monthly basis to check on the status of his/her application. Once the application is complete, it will be listed on the next month's Board meeting agenda.

What is the process and cost for a written license verification to be sent to another state?

How do I go about filing a name/address change?

Answer: Requests for name changes must be in writing and be submitted with a copy of a marriage certificate, divorce decree or other legal document and the licensee's professional license number. Name changes may be faxed or mailed to the Board office. You my change your address online or send a request to the Board office.

Question:

When must I file an application to take the Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG) examination?

Answer:
  • Applications to take the ASBOG must be filed in the Board office three (3) months prior to the examination date for that month/year in which the applicant would like to take the exam. Approvals granted by the Board to sit for the exam are good for a period of two (2) years.
  • See Fee Schedule for the cost of the practical and fundamental portion of the ASBOG exam.
  • The Board office will notify the applicant of the fee(s) when approved by the Board to take the examination.
  • The examination schedule for 2006 is Friday, March 3, and Friday, October 6. The examination is held in the Cannon Building, Conference Room A, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, Dover, Delaware.

Answer: You may download the form, Application for Continuing Education Approval from our web page. You may also contact the Board office by e-mail, telephone, or fax to request a copy of the application.
