Question: How long does it take to complete the application process?

Answer: The application process varies based on how quickly the required forms are submitted to the Board office. When the application is complete, it will be listed on the next month's Board meeting agenda.

 

Question: What is the process and cost for a written license verification to be sent to another state?

Answer: See Request License Verification.

 

Question: How do I go about filing a name/address change?

Answer: Submit r equests for name changes to the Board office in writing. Faxes are acceptable. The request must be accompanied by a copy of a marriage certificate, divorce decree or other legal document showing old and new name. Include license number. You may change your address online or send a request to the Board office.

 

Question: When must I file an application to take the Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG) examination?

Answer:

  • Applications to take the ASBOG examination must be filed in the Board office three months before the examination date. Approvals granted by the Board to sit for the exam are good for a period of two years.
  • See Fee Schedule for the cost of the FG and PG portions of the ASBOG exam. Do not send the examination fee until notified that you have been approved to sit for the examination.

  • The examination is held at the Division of Professional Regulation, Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, Dover, Delaware.

 

Question: How do I apply to become an approved Geology continuing education provider in Delaware?

Answer: Submit the Application for Continuing Education Approval following the instructions on the form.

 

Question: How do I obtain a seal or rubber stamp?

Answer: You must obtain either a seal press or rubber stamp seal. Most office supply stores can imprint a seal for you. See Section 7.6 of the Rules and Regulations for a sample of the seal.

 

Question: How do I request a wall certificate?

Answer: To receive a wall certificate in addition to the standard license certificate, complete a Request for Wall Certificate. Enclose a check or money order, made payable to the “State of Delaware,” for the fee amount. Send your request to the Board Office. After the form and fee are received, the Board will sign the certificate at its next scheduled meeting.
