Question: When is the exam held?

Answer: Sections A, B, and D of the Landscape Architect Registration Exam (LARE) are administered by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB). See www.clarb.org. The Division of Professional Regulation administers sections C and E in June and December.

 

Question: Can I obtain a temporary permit?

Answer: No. There is no provision in the law for the Board to issue a temporary permit.

 

Question: When does my license expire?

Answer: Licenses expire on January 31st of each odd year.

 

Question: How many hours of continuing education do I need in order to renew my license?

Answer: A licensee must demonstrate completion of twenty hours of continuing education during the preceding two years, that meets the Board's requirements in order to renew a license. For information about the continuing education requirements, see Section 7.0 of the Board's Rules and Regulations.
