When is the exam held?

Answer: All sections of the Landscape Architect Registration Exam (LARE) are administered by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB). For more exam information, see the Examinations webpage. Also, go to www.clarb.org.

Can I obtain a temporary permit?

Answer: No. The law has no provision for the Board to issue a temporary permit.

When does my license expire?

Answer: Licenses expire on January 31st of each odd year. See License Renewal.

How many hours of continuing education do I need in order to renew my license?

Answer: You do not need any continuing education (CE) for your first renewal after you are licensed in Delaware. For all subsequent renewals, you must complete 20 hours of CE. For more information about the CE and audit requirements, see the Continuing Education and Audit Information webpage and Section 7.0 of the Board’s Rules and Regulations.

Can I submit the CLARB Council Record for Supporting Documentation?

Answer: You may arrange for CLARB to send the Board office your CLARB Council Record as proof of your exam scores and supervisory documentation. However, the Board office must receive license verification(s) directly from all other jurisdictions.
