NEW LEGISLATION: On July 25, 2011, Governor Markell signed Senate Bill 32, as amended, into law. The new law requires applicants for licensure by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists to arrange for the Board office to receive a criminal background check (24 Del. C. §3514(a)(2)). The Board office will notify applicants who applied on or after July 25, 2011 how to request the criminal background check. For future applicants, the application instructions and form have been revised to reflect the new requirement. BOARD FUNCTION: The Board of Examiners of Psychologists (hereafter designated as "the Board") regulates the practice of psychology for psychologists and psychological assistants. The Board establishes education, training and experience requirements for licensure; develops rules and regulations; and conducts disciplinary hearings and imposes disciplinary sanctions, when necessary. (24 Del. C., Chapter 35, § 3501-3520) FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS: The Board meets the first Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. with the exception of July, August and December. In July, the Board meets the fourth Monday of the month and does not meet in August. All meetings are open to the general public and are held in the Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Blvd., Dover.To assure consideration of your license application at the next meeting, the Board office must receive all of these items no later than 4:30 PM ten full working days before the meeting date:
