Information About Renewal Applications for All Licenses

Clinical Social Work Examiners licenses expire on January 31 of odd years (e.g., 2009, 2011).

Several weeks before your license expiration date, a renewal notice will be mailed to the address on your record. This notice will explain how to access the online renewal application. To complete the online renewal application, you must use a credit card to pay your renewal fee. The notice will also explain how to request a paper renewal application if you are unable to renew online.

Information About Renewal Applications for Active Clinical Social Work Examiners

To renew an active license, you will need to provide information about your continuing education (CE). For information on CE requirements, refer to Section 7.0 of the Board's Rules and Regulations.

Information About Inactive Clinical Social Work Examiners

If you are not actively practicing, you may submit a written request to place your license on inactive status to the Board office.

To renew an inactive license, contact the Board office before your inactive license expires. Y ou will need to provide information about CE. See Section 7.0 of the Board's Rules and Regulations. The Board must approve your renewal request. You cannot renew an inactive license online.

To reactivate to active status, notify the Board office in writing of your intention to resume practicing in Delaware.

How to Renew a Expired License

If you do not renew your license before the expiration date, your license will expire. It is illegal to practice while your license is expired.
