Delaware Law, Rules and Regulations (DLRR) Exam Information

The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions on the following topics:

Applying to Sit for the DLRR Exam

All applicants, whether applying for licensure by a resident internship or by reciprocity, must pass the DLRR examination with a minimum score of 70%.

The Board of Funeral Services must review your licensure application and all other required documentation to approve you to take the exam before you can schedule it.

To apply to take the required exam(s), you must first create a DELPROS user account.  Go to the DELPROS online portal, and then click on Apply/Manage a License and Service Requests. If you:

  • are already an existing user, log in with your email address and password under the existing user section.
  • have not yet created a DELPROS user account, click on REGISTER.

After creating your user account or logging into the DELPROS online portal, you may begin your application for licensure to take the required exam(s).

When the Board has reviewed and approved your application, you will receive an email notification stating you have been approved to sit for the exam.

Registering for the DLRR Exam

To register online for the exam, see LRR Registration Form through The Conference.

For complete information about the examination, see the Laws Exam Candidate Handbook.

You will receive your score immediately following the exam. The testing service (Pearson Vue) will send your exam results directly to the Board office. Allow at least two business days for the Board office to receive your exam results.

Re-Taking the DLRR Exam

You have two years from the date of your submitted application to pass the exam. If you fail the exam, you must re-register with the Conference to schedule to re-take it. For additional information, see Delaware – DE-LRR.

To request to re-take the DLRR Exam go to DELPROS and log in to your e-License Dashboard. Click on Service Request in the top navigation bar, then click APPLY FOR A NEW SERVICE REQUEST and select the Request for Re-Examination service request type option.

After review and approval of your request, you will receive an email notification for approval to re-take the DLRR Exam.

After Taking the DLRR Exam

After you take and pass the exam, allow up to two business days for the Board office to receive your official examination score. Once the Board office receives your passing score and validates that you have met all requirements for licensure, your license will be issued.

You will receive an email notification stating your license has been issued including any additional details about license renewal and/or continuing education requirements.
