The Board of Electrical Examiners must approve you to sit for the examination.
To apply to take the required exam(s), you must first create a DELPROS user account. Go to the DELPROS online portal, and then click on Apply/Manage a License and Service Requests. If you:
After creating your user account or logging into the DELPROS online portal, you may begin your application for licensure to take the required exam(s).
When the Board has reviewed and approved your application, you will receive an email notification stating you have been approved to sit for the exam. You will receive a separate email with the examination registration form from testing vendor, ProV.
Note: All Electrical examinations are based on the most up to date National Electrical Code (NEC) adopted in Delaware.
The Division of Professional Regulation utilizes external testing vendor, ProV, to facilitate all required licensure examinations for the Electrical trade.
Upon receiving Board-approval, the Board Liaison will forward your registration information to ProV who will contact you via a ProV email address within the next 1-2 weeks to provide you with the comprehensive Candidate Information Bulletin which details:

You must obtain a minimum score of 75% to pass the exam. Should you require another attempt at licensure examination, you may contact ProV directly, as detailed in the Candidate Information Bulletin for your initial examination.
If you have not already done so, submit proof of liability insurance of at least $300,000 via a “Submit Additional Documentation” Service Request (proof of insurance only applies to Master and Limited Electrician).
Allow up to two weeks for the Board office to receive your official examination score. Once the Board office receives your passing score and validates that you have met all requirements for licensure, your license will be issued.
You will receive an email notification stating your license has been issued including any additional details about license renewal and/or continuing education requirements.
