Important Information About the New Law Regarding Massage Therapist Education
On June 26, 2024, House Bill 386 passed legislation that increases the minimum hours of education required for licensed massage therapists for students who began their massage therapy education on or after July 1, 2024, from 500 hours to 625 hours.
Any student who began their massage therapy education before July 1, 2024 will be required to have the minimum education requirement of 500 hours. For any student who began their massage therapy education on or after July 1, 2024 will be required to meet the new minimum education requirement of 625 hours.
