The online information comes directly from the division’s licensure database and is current within seconds. You can access public professional licensure information for individuals or facilities, including any disciplinary documents that may be on record. Online license verifications are considered “primary source verifications” for purposes of credentialing. Click on Search & Verify License and follow the instructions to access this quick, easy, and free service.
If you need a written license verification, click here or click on the Apply/Manage a License and Service Request tile on the home page. Log in to your DELPROS account and click on the Service Request link at the top of the page in the top dark blue banner. Next, click on the Apply for a New Service Request button, answer the questions, and follow the instructions to request your License Verification. Your request will be processed within 5 to 7 business days. Written license verifications include the name of licensee, type of license, license status, date of licensure, date of expiration and any disciplinary history.
If you DO NOT hold a Delaware License OR you hold a Delaware license and need to verify a license that is in a status other than ‘Active’ or ‘Probation’, you may use the License Verification Request Form to request a written license verification. Follow the instructions on the form to complete your request.
You may request a written verification for Delaware Physician M.D., Physician D.O., Physician-Limited or ACGME Training licenses only if the verification is for an organization or agency other than another state’s licensing board. For example, verifications for a Veterans Administration (VA) facility, insurance companies, hospitals or physician placement firms will be accepted. However, if you need a license verification sent to another state, please use VeriDoc. Physician licensure verification requests for another state are not accepted.
If you hold a license from the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline other than Physician M.D., Physician D.O., Physician-Limited or ACGME Training, submit verification requests by following the instructions above. This includes Physician Assistant, Respiratory Care, Acupuncture and Genetic Counselor practitioners. VeriDoc cannot verify these kinds of Delaware licenses.
The Division of Professional Regulation only provides written license verifications for Nurses for the following reasons:
For all other reasons, Nurses should print out an online verification from the Search & Verify License feature or go to www.nursys.com. Please do not submit a Service Request for a written license verification.
There is no charge for using the online license verifications in Search & Verify a License feature.
The fees for all written verifications are listed below. After following the instructions for requesting a written verification shown above, your fee will appear in your secure online portal shopping cart. You must pay with a credit card. Do not send a check, cash, or money order to the Board office.
If your profession is not listed above, the Division of Professional Regulation is only able to provide a Service Request for license verifications without exam scores. The following professions must contact the national organization exam scores:
