The Division of Professional Regulation offers online license verifications free of charge in DELPROS, our online portal. The online information comes directly from the division’s licensure database and is current within seconds. You can access public professional licensure information for individuals or facilities, including any disciplinary documents that may be on the record. Online license verifications are considered “primary source verifications” for purposes of credentialing. Click on Search & Verify License and follow the instructions to access this quick, easy, and free service.

If you are requesting a written verification for any of the following license types: Physician M.D., Physician D.O., Physician-Limited, Physician Assistant, or ACGME Training licenses, or Nursing licenses, see special instructions below for Medical Practice or Nursing.
If you need a written license verification, click here or click on the Apply/Manage a License and Service Request tile on the home page. Log in to your DELPROS account and click on the Service Request link at the top of the page in the top dark blue banner. Next, click on the Apply for a New Service Request button, answer the questions, and follow the instructions to request your License Verification. Your request will be processed within 5 to 7 business days. Written license verifications include the name of licensee, type of license, license status, date of licensure, date of expiration and any disciplinary history.
If you are requesting a license verification for someone other than yourself, use the License Verification Request Form to request a written license verification. Follow the instructions on the form to complete your request. DO NOT use this form to request a license verification of your own license!
To verify a Delaware Physician M.D., Physician D.O., Physician-Limited, Physician Assistant, or ACGME Training license, you must submit the request directly through VeriDoc. Physician and Physician Assistant licensure verification requests to another state are not accepted.
You may only request written verification from the Delaware Board office for Physician M.D., Physician D.O., Physician-Limited, Physician Assistant, or ACGME Training licenses when the verification is for:
If you hold a license from the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline, not in one of the above license types, submit the written verification request following the instructions above. This includes Respiratory Care, Acupuncture, and Genetic Counselor practitioners. VeriDoc does not verify these types of Delaware licenses.
The Division of Professional Regulation only provides written license verifications for Nurses for the following reasons:

There is no charge for using the online license verifications in Search & Verify a License feature.
The fees for all written verifications are listed below. After following the instructions for requesting a written verification shown above, your fee will appear in your secure online portal shopping cart. You must pay with a credit card. Do not send a check, cash, or money order to the Board office.
If your profession is not listed above, the Division of Professional Regulation is only able to provide a Service Request for license verifications without exam scores. The following professions must contact the national organization exam scores:
