Commission on Adult Entertainment Establishments

The purpose of the Delaware Commission on Adult Entertainment Establishments is to promote public health, safety and welfare by regulating the licensing and operation of adult entertainment establishments and adult-oriented retail businesses in Delaware. The Commission:

  • reviews applications for licensure
  • promulgates rules and regulations
  • adjudicates complaints against licensees and, when necessary, imposes disciplinary sanctions.

The Commission’s statutory authority is in 24 Del. C., Chapter 16.

Unless notified otherwise, the Commission meets on a quarterly basis or as needed. The meetings are open to the public and are held in the Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, Dover, Delaware.  The meeting schedule is available at the State of Delaware public meeting calendar.

The Commission will need to review and approve your application for licensure. The Commission can only review a complete application. A complete application includes your application and any documentation submitted through DELPROS and/or any documents submitted through the mail or email from third-parties. The Commission will review your documentation at its next scheduled meeting.
