Answers

How do I apply for an adult entertainment license?

Answer: There are two different types of establishment licenses that one can apply for. For instructions on when and how to apply for a license, see Adult Entertainment Establishment or a Adult Retail Establishment.

How long does it take to complete the application process?

Answer: Applications are processed in DELPROS, our online portal, therefore, applications are processed very efficiently. The instructions for submitting the forms required for your license are provided here on the website and in the online portal during the application process. You will be instructed to upload some forms with your application, while other documents may need to be notarized, and mailed in. It is important to follow the directions closely in order to avoid delays in the processing of your application.  Once an application for an adult entertainment license is complete, the Commission will meet within 30 days to review the application. When approved, the Division of Professional Regulation will send you a notification by email that you can print your license.

How often are establishment licenses renewed?

Answer: The expiration date of your establishment license is July 31st each year. A few months before the expiration date, the Commission office will send you a renewal notice by email to the license holder.  This notice will tell you how to renew your license online in DELPROS.
