The primary purpose of this chapter is to protect the general public and persons working in the elevator industry from unsafe practices including those which tend to reduce competition or fix the price of services rendered. To meet these objectives, the Board
The Board issues licenses to Elevator Mechanics who plan, estimate, layout, perform, or supervise the installation, erection, replacement, service, and repair of any elevator in any structure.
The Board’s statutory authority is in, 24 Del. C., Chapter 61.
Unless notified otherwise, the Board meets the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m. All meetings are open to the general public and are held at 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, Cannon Building Conference Room B, Dover Delaware. The meeting schedule is available at the State of Delaware public meeting calendar.
The Board may need to review and approve your application for licensure and will only review a complete application. A complete application includes your application and any documentation submitted through DELPROS and/or any documents submitted through the mail or email from third-parties. The Board will review your documentation at its next scheduled meeting.
