Information About Renewals
Psychologist licenses and Psychological Assistant registrations expire on July 31 of odd-numbered years (e.g., 2023, 2025).
A few months before the expiration date of your license, a renewal notice will be sent to the email address on the record. This notice will explain how to access your online renewal application in DELPROS, our online portal. To complete the online renewal application, you must log in to your account, answer questions, and use a credit card to pay your renewal fee.
All notices about professional licenses, such as renewal and audit notices, will be sent by email only. It is important to keep your contact information up-to-date so that all the notices we send reach you. To check and update your contact information online, click on Manage Profile link in DELPROS.
- Click on the titles below in each section to expand the information.
For information about CE requirements and audits, click on the Continuing Education and Audit Information webpage or see Section 10.0 of the Board’s Rules and Regulations. After the renewal, a percentage of licensees/registrants will be randomly selected for audit of their CE.
During each renewal, you must attest that:
- you hold at least one active license issued by another state’s licensing authority or board, and
- all licenses that you hold or have ever held are in good standing.
- If you are removing a supervisor(s), you must arrange for the Report of Releasing Supervisor to be completed by your previous supervisor and upload to your renewal application.
- If you are adding a new supervisor(s), you must arrange for the Report of New Supervisor to be completed by your new supervisor and upload to your renewal application.
- If you are removing and adding a supervisor(s), you must arrange for the Report of New Supervisor and Report of Releasing Supervisor to be completed by both supervisors and uploaded to your renewal application.
- If you are not updating your supervisor(s), you must arrange for the Current Supervisor Report to be completed by your supervisor and upload to your renewal application.
As of December 11, 2024, inactive status for Psychologist licenses is no longer renewable. A Psychologist license may be placed on inactive status for a maximum of 5 years.
To resume practicing in Delaware, you must reactivate your license by submitting a Service Request in DELPROS. For more information on reactivating an inactive license, see Section 5.4.1 of the Board’s Rules and Regulations.
If you fail to renew the license/registration within one month, it will terminate. To resume practicing in Delaware after termination, you must apply in DELPROS as a new applicant.
