Reinstatement

When to Request Reinstatement of Your License

If your former Delaware license is in an Expired status, and it is past the 30-day late renewal period, you can no longer renew the license.  To resume practicing in Delaware, you must apply for reinstatement of licensure in the DELPROS online portal.

To check the status and expiration date of your license online click Search & Verify License.

Types of Expired Licenses

If an expired license you previously held begins with:

  • RB (Broker), RA (Associate Broker) or RS (Salesperson), these are the current license types, if reinstated and approved, will remain the same type and number.
  •  R1, R2, R3, or R4, these license types were replaced as a result of legislation effective 2/3/2012.
IF your former license begins with… THEN your reinstated license will be a…
R1 or R2 Broker or Associate Broker
  • A Broker is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of a brokerage organization 24 Del. C. § 2907(d). This is commonly referred to as a “Broker of Record.”
  • An Associate Broker does not have primary responsibility for day-to-day management and supervision of a brokerage organization.
R3 or R4 Salesperson

Contact the Board office at (302) 744-4500 or email customerservice.dpr@delaware.gov for assistance in reinstating these types of expired licenses.

Once you have created your user account, find the license that you wish to reinstate on your e-License Dashboard. From that license tile, click on Options, then Reinstate.

Follow the reinstatement application instructions to complete the online application.
