Use the following guidelines to identify the type of licensure you should apply for:

  • Acupuncture Practitioner – You have earned a Diplomate in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) or an equivalent organization.
  • Eastern Medicine Practitioner – You have earned a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) or an equivalent organization. You may apply for licensure by reciprocity or original licensure based on the following:

  • Apply by original license if you do not hold a current license of the same type in another jurisdiction (state, D.C. or U.S. territory).
  • Apply by reciprocity if you meet all three requirements below:
    1. You hold a current license of the same type in another jurisdiction (state, D.C. or U.S. territory)
    2. The jurisdiction where you currently hold a license has licensing requirements that are equal to Delaware’s requirements
    3. You do not have any outstanding or unresolved complaints pending against you.

The supporting documentation you must submit depends on the type of application you are submitting.

Information on How to Apply for a License in DELPROS

All applications are submitted our online system DELPROS. We no longer accept paper applications.
