CE course providers may request to be approved by the Board of Nursing as a CE Provider. You must use the DELPROS online portal to request CE Provider approval. The Board of Nursing does not approve individual CE courses. For more information on how to submit a request, see the Nursing Service Request webpage.
Active nursing professionals must complete approved continuing education (CE) during each full licensure renewal period. If you are an:

All contact hours must be earned through an approved method or by approved provider.

Continuing Education (CE) is tracked in DELPROS, the Delaware Professional Regulation Online Service. To enter your CE, you must first create a DELPROS user account. Go to the DELPROS online portal, and then click on Apply/Manage a License and Service Requests. If you:
After creating your user account or logging into the DELPROS online portal, you may begin entering your CE.
When you are done, click on your Dashboard on the dark blue banner at the top of the page to renew your license or choose another service.
Active nursing professionals are required to give evidence of practice or employment within the previous five years before the renewal. To meet the practice requirement, show proof you have completed 1 of the following 2 options:
1. Practice hours:
To submit your practice hours, you must provide the Nursing Audit Verification of Nursing Practice/Employment form completed by your employer(s) to verify your practice/employment. The form must be submitted to the Board directly by your employer.
2. Nursing refresher course completed within the past two years:
In the event no refresher course is available, the Board may consider alternate methods of evaluating current knowledge. You may submit an alternate supervised practice plan with written evidence of completion from the nursing administration of an agency or facility.

Random audits are performed by the Board to ensure compliance with the license requirements. Licensee holders selected for the random audit must verify that they have maintained the required CE and any other information required by the Board to confirm their continued eligibility for the license.
